Good job band for putting a commendable performance up tonight for AJC's 25th Anniversary Concert! This despite having to adapt to different acoustics compared to what we were familiar with during the SYF!

Appeals Auditions
Sunday, January 18, 2009

Our appeals auditions will begin on Tuesday from 1PM.
If you need to borrow an instrument, come at 1245PM.

Do bring along the following items(PHOTOCOPIED):

1) Results Slip
2) CCA Records
3) Testimonial (if any)
4) Appeals Application Form from AJC
5) Proof of any other achievements

Also, prepare an excerpt of a piece, scales and be prepared for sightreading.

Best of luck to all applicants!

Q&A:

What is the average number of points I need(L1R5) to get into AJC?
The numbers change every year. However as a rough gauge, you need an L1R5 of (after bonus)

Science - 8pts
Arts - 9pts

I am on the borderline. Do I need to come for the appeal auditions?
Borderline results are as follows; 8-9pts for the Science stream and 9-11pts for the Arts stream.
You might not need to appeal into AJC eventually. However, we recommend you attend our band practices and talk to our teachers should you have any concerns (:

For further enquiries, please feel free to drop us an email. We will do our best to answer you a.s.a.p!

Welcome Back!
Monday, January 12, 2009

Firstly, a warm welcome back to all our bandsmen as we return to school!
As this is our JC2 year, we will have to work hard and manage our time well in order to acheive the best out of the year 2009!

It is also time to look forward to tomorrow's practice as band practices resume to the usual Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday!

We also understand that as the O level results are released today, there will be enquiries on admission to Anderson Junior College via the band through appeals.

We are still in the process of receiving information from the school, however, for early queries, DO NOT HESITATE to email us at ajc.sb@hotmail.com (ful-stop in the middle of ajc and sb).

We will try to reply you with the best of our abilities and as soon as possible.
